Welcome!

Welcome CDHS photographers to the Photography Club blog.  We meet Thursdays at lunch in Room 135, but I hope that people who can't make it then to post to this blog and participate as much as they can.

I want to encourage aspiring photographers to post their images in an effort to gain the expertise of the group.  I also want members of the club to give positive, but honest critiques of their peers (and my own) work.  The more people participate the more knowledge and experience we will all get.

In order to post an image you will need to e-mail it to me at brent_laver@kprdsb.ca and I will post it for you. To comment on an image you will need a Google account.  If you don't already have one you can get one here.

Lightning photography looks really cool, but is remarkably easy if you have the right equipment.  Basically all you have to do is set your camera on a tripod with a long shutter speed (over 10 sec) and wait for lighting to strike!
